About the PTSO

  • Membership
The PTSO is a voice for family engagement and an essential part of the education and support of our students at the school. Remember, the PTSO is not just for parents. Please encourage grandparents and other family members to support Potomac students by becoming a PTSO member.
  • Mission
Our mission is to work together to be a support and resource for our parents, teachers, staff and students and encourage parent and community involvement.
  • Our goal is to keep you informed with the most current information regarding PTSO sponsored events and activities. We welcome your input, volunteerism, and membership.
  • Financial Support
The PTSO provides financial support throughout the year for each class as well as assistance to the school through fundraising efforts. We also offer annual scholarships to students whose families are PTSO members.
  • We will list scholarship opportunities here monthly throughout the school year. Please check back frequently so as not to miss any updates!
  • Meetings
Our meetings are held in the school library or virtually on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. Zoom link will be emailed for virtual meetings. If you are unable to join us, please consider volunteering at one fundraising activity this year.
  • Volunteering
Volunteering is a great way to get involved. There is no limit to the number of times you can signup for, so let’s get started! Be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Our ultimate success is dependent on member participation in our PTSO-sponsored events.
